6.4 SuggestedMethodParameterValuesUtilizingHexaneand
MethyleneChloride
Use the following as an example to setupMethodParameterValues. Thesevalues are suggested for
solvents suchasHexaneandMethyleneChloride. ThisMethod iswitha5µl syringe installed. The
sample is1µl,witha .25µl offset injecting into inletA. The syringewill be rinsedwith5µl of rinse
#1 twice and#2once. Prior to injection, itwill dump the rinse twice, intowaste, and then flush in the
vial5 times. Thisshouldeliminateanybubbleproblemswithanysolvent.

7.1 Hold/StopKey
ThePause/StopKeyperforms two (2) functions:
1. Pause the currentAutoSampler operation at its completion.
The sampling continues until a
complete sample injection cycle is completed.

maybeperformed. The systemmay then
resume theAutoRun (where it paused) and complete themethod.
2. Abort the currentAutoRunor other function. TheSyringe contentsmaybe dumped towaste and/
or immediately returned to its “Home”position and theAutoRun
maynot
be resumed from thepoint
it was stopped.
NOTE:TheEndPause canbe turnedoff at anypoint before it is actually executedbypressing
theEnterKey.
