equippedwith the split/splitless injector
To connect anarrowbore column to the
split\splitless injector:
1) Locate theSilcoSleeve liner witha
gashat oneend. TheGC is shippedwith
theSilcoSleeve liner in theparts box un-
der the red lid. The regular stainless
liner canalsobeused, but it is not as
inert as the fused silica linedSil-
coSleeve.
2) Verify that the liner has aplugof
glasswool positionedmidway. The
glasswool gives the samplea sur-
face fromwhich toevaporate, so the
syringe tip should deposit the sample
directly into theplugof glasswool.

Mark the columnwithWhite-Out
about 3.5 cm ( 1.5” ) from theend topo-
sition it in the liner just downstreamof
theglasswool plug.
