equippedwith the split/splitless injector
Place the liner in the injector with the
gash side towards the operator. The
gashallows carrier gas to flow though
the liner. Without agash, the carrier gas
will flowaround the liner insteadof
through it. Secure the column inplace
( so you can see thedabofWhite-Out
just past theendof the1/8” swagelok
nut ) usinga swagelok nut and1/8”
to .4mm soft graphite reducing ferrule.
Connect theother endof the column to
the detector using a 1/8” soft graphite
ferruleor a fittingandahardgraphite
1/16” to .4mm reducing ferrule.
As shownon the right sideof theGC,
RelayA ( typically ) controls the split
vent solenoid.
On someGCs, the split
vent solenoidmaybe controlledbyadif-
ferent relay ( B-H ).
InPeakSimple
set the times
youwant the
split vent to
open and
close.
Thiswill de-
pendon
whether you
want a split or
a splitless in-
jection.
