4) Be sure that thealumi-
num stand-offs on the bottom
of the cell don't rotate as you
remove the screws. Hold
each stand-off witha small
wrench if you have to.
5) With theeight screws
removed, the top of the cell
will pop updue to the spring
insidewhich pushes the
graphite rope electrode
against thePEM. Carefully
lay the top of the cell aside.
6) Peel theoldPEM off
thebottom. Check theplati-
num screen for bits of old
PEMmaterial. If the platinum
screen seems rough or has
sharpedges, use your fingers
to smooth it down
