mounted in the valveoven sectionof
the8610CGC chassis. The8610C
GC shown in thephoto is sittingnext
to theH2-40XRHydrogengenerator
on thebenchtop. WithbothH2gen-
erator andbuilt-inair compressor, the
GC can operate
without
compressed
gas cylinders.
TheThermal Soil Desorber includesa
10portmanuallyoperatedValco valve
( equippedwith thehigh temperature
“T” rotor )which isheatedup to275C.
A3/8” diameter groundglass tube
( ground to consistent sizeand round-
ness ) is filledwithup to1gramof soil.
The soil filled tube is then connected
toa3/8” swagelok fittingusinga soft
graphite ferruleand then inserted into
theheater block.
