Micro-controller replacement in the
SRI Model 333DataSystem
With the advent of theWindows7-
64bit operating system inDecem-
ber 2009 it was found that the firm-
ware in theCypressmicro-
controller in theSRI Model 333
A/D board needed to be updated
in order to functionwith the 64bit
version ofWindows&7 ( also 64bit
Vista ).
The 32bit versionofWindows7
wasnot affected andworks fine
without upgrading themicro-
controller.
The upgradedmicro-controller is
SRI part# 8600-1052 ( US$ 100 ).
Locate themicro-controller on the
circuit board. The chip has the
USB device ID number written on
it.
The replacement chipwill have a
different number printedon it.
