Results
As shown inFigure 3, Sulfinert
®
-treated cylinders and accessorieswere inert
to reactive sulfur compounds over the 54-hour test period.Hydrogen sulfide
exhibited greater than85% recoveryover the test period;methylmercaptan,
ethylmercaptan, carbonyl sulfide, anddimethyl disulfide exhibited greater
than90% recovery.
Conclusion
This investigation confirms theuse of Sulfinert
®
-treated sample cylinders
and transfer lines greatly increases the storage time for reactive sulfur com-
pounds, ensuringmore accurate analyses.
