Because filters shouldbe changedperiodically, wemake it easy to
replace themwithout tools. For thosefiltersusingaplasticfitting, the
tubingcanbereconnectedbyfingertighteningthefitting intothenew
filter. Thefilterswith stems alloweasy insertion into the inlet tubing.

WhyUseAn Inlet Solvent Filter?
XXTo filter out particulatematter from the solvent thatmayotherwise
damageexpensivehardware. (Use a 10µmor 20µm version for
thispurpose. TheA-309andA-230Afilters haveanadded“Bottom
of theBottle™” feature tohelpdraw solvent towithin 1/8”of the
bottomof your solvent bottle.)
XXToprevent particulates originating from the sparging system from
entering themobilephase reservoir and tohelpdisperse the
sparginggas efficiently. (Use a 2µm filter for this purpose.)
XXTohold your tubing inplace at thebottomof thebottle. (Most
stainless steel filter optionsworkbest for this purpose.)
Note: It isusuallyagood idea tochange the inlet filter aspart of your
semi-annual or annual preventativemaintenanceprogram.
