Edit/Overall
screen because many Windows

serialport.OthercomputersmayuseCOM
2,COM3, orCOM4.Youmayhave to
examine the
MyComputer/System
screen
to determine what serial port numbers
Windowshasassigned to thehardware in
yourparticularcomputer. Ifyouupgraded
to the6channelUSBdata system, enter
the USB device ID number in the box
instead.USBdeviceIDnumbersareunique
toeachinstrument,andthenumberforyour
210D is printedon theHPLCunder the cable port, and alsoonyour PeakSimple disk. Once youhave
successfullygotten thedatasystem tosignon,clickSaveAllsoyoudon’thave torepeat thisstep thenext time
youopenPeakSimple.

Double-clickon thePeakSimple icon to launch theprogram. Verify that
communication isestablishedbetween thecomputerand thepump. Anerror
message(shownat left)willappear ifcommunication isnotestablished.
7. InstallingPeakSimple software
YouwillfindyourPeakSimple
installationdiskjustinsidethe
frontcoverofyourmanual.
Install the PeakSimple
software by inserting the
PeakSimpleCD into theCD-
ROM drive of yourWindows
TM
computer. Double-click on My
Computer, then open the CD-ROM
drive. Double-clickonthe“setup.exe”
program icon and follow the
instructions.
