6. Power Supply
Your210Dcomeswithauniversal(115Vor230V)benchtop12voltpower
supply(shownatright). Plug thesmallpowersourcecord into the jackon
the lefthandsideof theLC. Plug the largerpowercord intoawalloutlet.
TurnthepowerONwiththepowerswitch, locatedabovethepowersupply
jack. The210Dcanbepoweredwithanyregulatedorunregulatedvoltage
in therangeof11-15voltsat80watts(approximately7amps), includinga
carbatteryvia thecigarette lighter.
4. VacuumDe-gas
WhilenotallHPLCusersdegas theirsolvent, it isagood idea to
do so. The 210D is equipped with an air pump for vacuum
degassing. Alengthof tygon tubing isprovided toconnect the
pump to thedegasfittingon the left-handsideof theHPLC. The
tubingisequippedwithanutforeasyconnectiontothedegasfitting.
With the210DpowerON,connect thepump tubing to thedegas
fitting, thenplug thepump intoawalloutlet. Open thestorage
comparment tosee thevacuumdegasgauge,whichshould read
7psiwith thepumpONandsolvent linesattached.

Connectyour210D toyourWindows
TM
computerwiththeprovidedserialorUSB
cable.Thecableconnectionportislocated
on the left-handsideof the210D.

Simplyscrew thisnutonto thedegas fitting
toconnect thevacuumpump to the210D.
