The Institute for Nutraceutical Advancement
(INA) has published amethod for the analysis of
the fatty acid content in sawpalmettobyGC.The
analysis is performed after the triglycerides are
transesterified and converted to their methyl
esters. An
Rtx®-Wax
column provides the effi-
ciency and selectivity needed to perform this
analysis, allowing accurate identification of the
FAMEs present.
