Sulfur Trapping at lowPPB levels using theSRI
8610CGasChromatograph
At the 10ppb level, the detector
noise on the baseline canmake it
more difficult to integrate the peak.
It is sometimes helpful to use
PeakSimple software’s
“Smoothing “function.
ClickEdit/Smoothing and then
specify the parameters for the
SmoothingAlgorithm.
TheSmoothed datamakes it eas-
ier to determine the start and end
of theH2S peak.
It is also important to place the
baseline so the air peakwhich
elutes just prior to theH2S does
not distort theH2S area. Using
theManual IntegrationTools can
helpwith this.
