Calibrating theSRI Mudlogger GC
Total Gas FID
TheTotal Gas flow enters theGC
through two solenoid valves located at
the rear of the valve oven. Solenoid #1
is controlled byRelayA andSolenoid#1
byRelayB. RelaysA andB can be ac-
tuatedmanually or automatically via
PeakSimple software.
TheTotal Gas flowmust be controlled
by a pressure regulator. SRI suggests
that the regulator be set to 10 psi, but
any pressure up to 50 psi of OK as long
as it is stable.
The better the quality of the pressure
regulator, thenmore stable the pressure,
themore stable the reading on theTotal
Gas FID.
