TheFID trace shows the typical
diesel profilewith thougsands of
overlapping peaks. TheASD just
responds to the aromaticmole-
cules in the fuel.
The sample diesel samplewas
injected this timewithPAHs at 50
-100 ng/ul in themix. The addi-
tional PAHs clearly show on the
ASD trace.
