Whenusing traditional fused silica tubingcutters, onlya small partof

A flat, 90˚, burr-free cut is difficult toobtainwithmost commercial
polymer tubing cutters. Upchurch Scientific

has designed several
tubing cutters specifically to cut polymer tubing. This lineof tubing
cutters includesastandardcutter for1/16”and1/8”ODtubing (A-327),
and another for largebore tubing (A-329). Eachhas guideholes to
ensureprecisecutting.Thesecuttersaredurable, reliable,andeasy to
operate. Five replacement blades are includedwitheach tool.
CapillaryPolymerTubingCutters
TheUpchurch Scientific A-350Cutter is designed to cut capillary-
sizedpolymer tubing. The cutter makes clean, perpendicular cuts
without collapsing thin capillary walls. A set of ten tubing sleeves,
required for cutting, are includedwith each cutter, alongwith five
replacement blades. The included tubing sleeves are for cutting
360 µmOD polymer capillary tubing. Alternative sleeves are
available for cutting510µmand1/32”OD tubing. All tubing sleeves

Upchurch Scientific introduces a new tubing cutter specifically for
cutting2.0mmODpolymertubing.TheA-370tubingcutter isdesigned
tocut inasimilarmethod to theA-350capillarypolymer tubingcutter.
The tubing slides through the cutter and the knob is rotated to spin
the tubing as the razor blade circumscribes the tubing, providing a
very clean, perpendicular cut.
