Manual Integration
1. Tomanually integrate thePeakSimplebase-
line in a chromatogramuse themanual inte-
gration tools found in themanual integration
toolbar. Toopen themanual integration tool-
bar first have chromatogram 602.CHR loaded
and then select
Edit
from thePeakSimple
menu bar. From the drop downmenu select
Manual integration
with themouse cursor.
Themanual integration toolbar will nowbe
displayed to the right of thePeakSimple tool-
bar in the leftmost part of the screen.
2. Use theNone integration tool to add thearea
of the smaller peak to the area of theSolvent
peak. First, zoom inon the solvent peak, the
smaller peak to its right, and their baselines.
Once the chromatogram is zoomed in select
the
None
integration tool from themanual in-
tegration toolbar.With theNone integration
tool selected click once, using the leftmouse
button, on the valley between the solvent
peak and the smaller peak.
3. Use theDrop integration tool to drop the
baseline from the valley of the two peaks to
an existingbaseline. To drop the baseline se-
lect the
Drop
integration tool from themanual
integration toolbar. Using themouse cursor,
click on the valley between the solvent peak
and the smaller peak to drop the baseline.
4. TheBased integration tool raises thebaseline
to the valley between two specified peaks.
With thebaselinedropped, click on the
Based
integration tool buttonand then click on the
valley between the solvent peak and the
smaller peak to its right to raise the baseline
to the valley.
