Conclusion
This study investigated the stabilityof very low level sulfurVOCs (1-20ppbv) in
SilcoCan™ and electropolished canisters, usingboth drynitrogen and humid conditions.
The electropolished canisters exhibit degradationof reactive sulfursVOCs such asH
2
S
andmethylmercaptan and ethylmercaptan. Bothdryandhumidified11ppbv sulfur
VOCs exhibitedvirtuallynobreakdownor reactivity inSilcoCan™ canisters after 6days
of storage.
