The twopositionmicroelectric
actuator featuresexclusive stall-
sensingcircuitrywhicheliminates

actuatormisalignment. Power to
theactuatormotor is switchedoff
when thedriverpingoesagainst the
stopof thevalvecutout –no sooner,
no later –and it’sall donewithout
anymechanicalmicroswitches. Not
onlydoes thismean that alignment
problemsarea thingof thepast, it
means that youcan stockoneactuator
for valves that turn30°,36°,45°,60°,
90°,or anything inbetween.
During initialization, thevalve rotates
atmoderate speedwhile theactuator
waits to sense the stall. Once the
rotationanglehasbeenmeasuredand
confirmedby repetition, theangle is
memorizedandactuation takesplace
atmaximum speed. Valveposition
memory ismaintainedeven in the
eventof apower failure. There is
nothingmore todounlessyouwish
to install avalvewithadifferent angle
of rotation. In that event,cycling the
actuatorwithnovalvemounted sets
up reinitialization.
