Introduction
ElectricActuation
StandoffAssemblies
All valves,nomatterwhat their
actuationmode,canbeorderedwith
a standoff assembly. The standoff is
anextension shaftmountedbetween
thehandleor actuator and thevalve,
allowing thevalve tobe installed
withinaheatedzonewhile the
actuatororhandle remainsoutsideat
ambient temperature. The standoff
extends through theovenwall,and is
securedbyaclamp ring supplied
with theassembly. Standard standoff
assembly lengthsare2",3",4",and6".
Other lengths canbe special-ordered
at additional cost.
RightAngleDrive
Some installationsdon’t allow the
valveandactuator tobe installed ina
typical in-lineconfiguration. TheRAD
(right angledrive) isa90°gearbox
whichpermits theactuatororhandle
tobe installedat a right angle to the
valve. TheRADfitsallVICI electricand
air actuators.
switch,butcanbeeasilyconnected
toanexternal data system for fully
automatedcontrol. Themicroelectric
actuatorhasbuilt-inmultidropRS-232
(RS-485optional) forbidirectional
communications. TheSVI (serial valve
interface)wasdesigned specifically
to interfaceour standardelectric
actuatorswithRS-232compatible
systems,allowingcontrol of up to six
actuatorsviamodem,BASICprogram,
orValco-suppliedPC software.
Thenew universal actuator operates
virtuallyanyValcoorCheminert
rotaryvalve– twopositionandselector
alike–greatly simplying theelectronic
aspectof instrumentdesign.
The microelectricactuator features
automaticvalvealignment,high-speed
switching,compact size,24VDCpower
input,and reversibledirection (in the
selectormodel).

inyour consideration,our standard
electricactuator (110/230VAC) offers
adependable,economical solution.
