Air actuatorsareuseful in situations
whereany sparkcouldbedisastrous
orwhere there isnoelectricity
available. Theyare small, relatively
inexpensive,very ruggedand
dependable,andfield-serviceable.
Lowgas consumptionand lightweight,
compact constructionmake theair
actuator suitable for aerospaceflight
hardwareapplicationsaswell as
laboratoryorprocessapplications.
With theadditionofaDVI (digital valve
interface) to translate the timedevent
signals into thenecessaryairpulses,
airactuatorscanbeautomatically
switchedbyadatasystem, integrator,
orcontroller suchasourDVSP (digital
valvesequenceprogrammer)orSVI
(serial valve interface).
