retrofit for
VARIAN GCMODELS
1. DETTower structuremounts ontoVarian
FIO/TSD base - about half the size of Varian's TSO
tower - features a concentric cylinder geometry for
streamlined gas flow and efficient ion collection.
2. Tower assembly includes aceramic-tipped jet that
seals intoVarianbasewithanon-crushablestainless
steel ferrule.
3. DETCeramic Ion Sources or BareWire FlOProbe
($350 ea.) mount into top of DET tower for easy
changes ofmultiplemodes of selective or universal
detection. (Same standard ion sources as used on
Agilent 6890/7890 GCmodels at a much lower cost
than Varian's $1090 for aTSObead replacement.)
4. DET NPD/TID equipment compatible with Varian
TSD electronics. Varian electronics suffice for NP
detection, but big improvement in signal-to-noise for
Oxygenate and Halogenate detection is achieved by
powering ion sources with a stand-alone DET
