Figure2 charts thepressure increase vs. time/temperatureas a
result of heating the vacuum components. Basepressurewas 10

Torr and the systemwas under vacuum for 10hours.
The vacuum components that wereusedas received from the
manufacturer demonstrateda largeamount of outgassing causinga
largepressure increase. It was impractical to study these
components at any lower levels of basepressuredue to immense
outgassing.
