TheRtx-502.2 is a cross-bondeddiphenyl-methyl containing
polysiloxane, which is particularly resistive tooxidative
breakdown and exhibits lower bleed compared to the
cyanopropyl-phenyl polysiloxanes (624phase). The
disadvantage is the difficult resolutionbetweenbromomethane
and chloroethane. Althoughourmodel indicates partial
resolutionbetween the chlorotoluenes under these run-
conditions, linearity is effectedover the concentration range.
Slower final oven ramp rateswill resolve these isomers, but it
will sacrifice runtime.
