Abstract
Common problems associatedwith split/splitless
injectionports include analyte breakdownor adsorption
to the hotmetal surfaces of the inlet body anddifficulty
inobtaining a reliable seal at the liner andbase of the
injectionport. Further, split/splitless injectionports
have been costly tomaintain; traditionally, users have
had touse special andoften expensive parts tomaintain
these ports.
