Ring Inlet Seal has amuch lower
overall leak rate than standard all-metal inlet seals at
torques of 5 to60poundswithvarying injectionport
temperatures.
This lower leak rate results in extended column lifetime
by reducingOxygenpermeation into the carrier gas and
reduces detector noise, especiallywith sensitive detectors
such asECDs andMSDs. The soft sealwill not harm the
critical seal at the bottomof the injector, increasing the
lifetime of the injectionport.
