The second experimentwas todetermine the reproducibilityof peak area ratios
between injectionports andwhether active sites or deadvolume existed inside
the new injectionport. Amixture of hydrocarbons andphenolswas injected;
the peak area ratiowas calculatedusing2,4-dinitrophenol andC14 (Table 1).
AnXTI®injectionmixwith an on-column concentrationof 7-17ng also
was used. Responseswere excellent for all probes, including the active
compounds 2,4-dinitrophenol, 1,2-hexanediol, andbenzoic acid (Figure 2).
