RotorSeals&Stators
The rotorseal is thepolymeric
discthatmakesahighpressure
sealagainstthestatororstator
face seal. The seal wearswith
use and is one of the only
parts that may need routine
replacement.
Stators are available in 316
stainless steel, PEEK and
proprietarymaterials. Stators
need replacement only if
the ports or sealing surfaces
become damaged. Avoid
damage fromuseof improper injectionneedles by referring to the
“UsingProper SyringeNeedles”ApplicationNoteonpage142.

has lowwear andhighchemical
resistance. Vespel toleratesapH rangeof 0 to10. Solutionsmorebasic
thanpH10dissolveVespelwhichdamages the rotor seal. If youuseany
solutionsabovepH10, Rheodyne recommendsaPEEKblend rotor seal.
PEEKoffersahighchemical resistanceandversatility, andwill tolerate the
entirepH range from0 to14. ETFEblend rotor sealsareappropriate for
use inapplicationswherePEEK isnotgenerallyacceptable, suchaswhen
methylenechlorideorDMSO inhigher concentrations isbeingused.
