3.0 Installing thebatteries
Thisunit uses 2AAalkalinebatteries.
To install batteries, extend thewire stand.Open the
cover. Insert thebatterieswith thepolarity ( and )
correctly aligned.Close the cover. (Figures 2 and3)
Precautions forbattery replacement:
• Load thenewbatterieswith theirpolarity ( and )alignedcorrectly.
• Donot use rechargeablebatteries.

4.1 Battery lifetime
Thebattery lifetime is dependant on thenumber of options theuser
has enabled.
Theunit is shippedwith themost energydemandingoptionsdis-
abled (Table II).
Thepower saving functions canbe changed.
