Introduction
Changing a column in aGC/MS is a lengthyprocess and
can take valuable time away fromproductivity. The new
EZNo-Vent

connectorwas designed to allow the analyst
to change columns in theMSwithout venting. TheEZNo-
Vent
TM
connector utilizes a critical orifice tominimize the
introduction of oxygen, and thus eliminates the need to use
a purge gas. TheEZNo-Vent
TM
connector easily attaches
to theMS sourcewith a standard ferrule, andwithout the
need for special tools or plumbing. It alsodoes not require
secondary flowor pressure controllers, connection to the
GC electronics, or additional gas lines.
