7. Connect Power to theModel 302
TheModel 302 is providedwith apower cordwhich
plugs intoastandard110 (or220)voltoutlet. Plug the
Model302intothewalloutlet. TurnONthepowerswitch
andverifythatthePOWERLEDonthefrontoftheModel
302 is lit.
8. Install PeakSimpleChromatographySoftware
8-1. LocateyourcopyofPeakSimple,which isshipped inside thefront
coverofyourmanual. InserttheCDorfloppydisk(s)intoyourcomputers
appropriatedrive.

The power LED is lit when the Model 302 is
connected toapower source&switchedON.
8-2. Open theappropriatedrive through
MyComputer
, thendouble
clickon
Setup.exe
and follow the instructions. Bydefault, the
setupprogramplaces thePeakSimpleapplicationdirectoryon the
hard drive: c:\peak2000. If you put the application directory
elsewhere, takenoteof thepathasyoumayhave toenter it ina
dialogboxduring theUSBdriver installationprocedure.
9. Install theUSBDrivers
TherearethreeimportantfilessavedtothePeakSimpleapplication
directoryattheconclusionofthesoftwareinstallation:LL_USB.inf,
LL_USB.sys, andLL_USB2K.sys. These filesare required for
Windows torecognize theA/Dboardconnected to thecomputers
USBport.
9-1. Double-clickon the
MyComputer
icononyourdesktop, then
on
ControlPanel
, thenon
AddNewHardware
,whichshouldopen
the
AddNewHardwareWizard
.
9-2. Click theNextbutton twice,untilyouget to thescreen that
givesyouachoicebetweenlettingWindowsfindthenewhardware,
orselecting ityourselffroma list. Click theradiobutton tochoose
thehardwarefroma listandclick the
Next
button.
