1)
Un-plug theGC power cord.
2)
Remove the six screwholding the
bottomcover to theGC chassis.
3)
Tilt
the
GC
on its
back and expose
the interior.
4)
l ocate theNOboard which is
_
mounted on the right hand interior wall.
5)
l ocate the carrier gasEPCwire
( green
with
white stripe and labelled carrier
EPC ) Thiswire is attached to aGround
( GO) terminal on the AID board before
shipment from the SRI factory. Attaching
thiswire toGround disables the computer
controlof the EPC.
6}
Use the screwdriver provided
with
the
GC
to loosen the screwsecuring the
wire and re-attach thewire to the terminal
labelledTP2. The pressure control signal
from ttle PeakSimple data system is now
connected to the carrier gas
EPC.
7)
Re-assemble the botttomcover and
screws.
8)
Plug theGC power cord
back
in.
9)
Use the screwdriver
to
adjust the
carrier gas local setpoint to 0.00. The local
setcont is summed with the EPC control
signal from PeakSimple, so if the local set–
point is not set to 0.00, the carrier pressure
will
be
the sum of the local and computer
setpomts.
10)
Enter a pressure program in Peak–
Simple's channel 2, and verify that the GC
pressure follows the program.
SomeGCswill
be
equipped
with the single channel Model
203 AID board.
OtherGCs will
be
equipped
with the
4
channel
Model 202
AID
board.
The
procedure is identical on
either board.
