Extracted ionprofiles of quantitative native PCDDs andPCDFs, andwindowdefiner compounds are
shown inFigure 3 andFigure 4. The tetra- throughoctachlorodibenzodioxin compounds are chro-
matographically separatedby chlorination level. The tetrachlorodibenzofurans are chromatographi-
cally separatedby chlorination level, except for 1,2,8,9-tetrachlorodibenzofuran and 1,3,4,6,8-pen-
tachlorodibenzofuran,which exhibit a slight windowoverlap.
Conclusion
TheRtx®-Dioxin2 column is an excellent column for the analysis of dioxin and furan congeners. It has a
unique selectivity for the toxic PCDDs and PCDFs, including specificity for 2,3,7,8-TCDD and 2,3,7,8-
TCDF.
