General Operating Procedure
LargeVolumeLiquid InjectionSteps
4. Inject1µL to200µLof liquidsample into thePTV injector. In the“ExpectedPerformance”example,
100µLofC10-C28hydrocarbonmixturewas injected.
2. Type inaneventprogramasfollows:
Time Event
0.00 ZERO
3.00 AOFF(splitventclosed; ifyouget too largeasolventpeak,keep thesplitventopen
longer)
3.10 BON (carrierOFF)
3.20 CON (PTV injectorheat)
5.00 BOFF (carrierON)

wideopen. Thisallows the trappingmaterial toretain thecompoundsof interestandquicklyflush thesolvent
