Packing theRGD reaction tube
1) TheRGDdetector is locatedat the
right rear of theSRI 8610CGC’s
columnoven.
2) A1/16” od stainless tubeand1/8 to
1/16 soft graphite reducing ferrule
connects the columneffluent to the
RGD’s inlet bulkhead fitting inside
the columnoven. The soft graphite
ferrule sealsagainst the reaction
tube to insure that columneffluent
actuallypasses through the reaction
tubeandnot around it.

Withdraw the reaction tube from
thedetector inlet. Be careful, the tube
maybeHOT.
