Usinga reusablefittingeliminates theproblemsdescribedon
stainless steel fitting interchangeabilityonpage185of theTechnical
Resources section. A reusablefittingwill allow for quickcolumn,
sample loop, inlinefilter or tubingchangeswithminimal downtime.

TheVHP-300, VHP-305, andVHP-310 fittings canbeusedup to
30,000psi (2,070bar) if tightened to 14 in-lbs (1.6N·m). This limits
the reusability to5 cycles. The stackeddesignof these fittings
allows theuser to lightly assemble the fittingbefore tightening
into theport. Leaving the tubingextended at least half an inch
beyond theendof the ferrulewill ensure that the tubing is
bottomedout in theport before the fitting is tighteneddown,
avoiding anypotential dead volume that couldbe introduced
during fitting installation.
