Omnifit’s large electric rotary valves are the ideal solution for
controlling themovement of fluids in the labor similar applica-
tionswhere a self containedunit is required. Themicroproces-
sor-basedSmart Actuator operates either a two-position loop
inject ormulti-position valve. TheSmart Actuator allows
precise valvepositioning for almost any chromatography
application, such as sampling and injecting samples on
columns.
The actuator accepts input voltagesbetween100 and240
VAC. The actuator’s configurationcanbe set or interrogated
without removing thecover, via the remotecontrol unit or the
RS232C interfacewith the supplied software. For automated
processing, the actuator canbe controlledby aPC through the
RS232C interface. Multiple actuatorsmay becontrolled from a
singleRS232C interface using adaisy chain cable that is
available as an option.
In addition to the flexibility built intoeverySmart Actuator,
several basic features support the functionality needed for
precise valveoperation:
