internal volume.Thepeak shape isnot affectedwhen the regulator is installed
between twodetectors inamulti-detector system,orbetweenadetector
anda fractioncollectoror fractioncollector system.Typically,90%ormore
of agivencomponent’sefficiencywill be retaineduponpassing through the
regulator.
A spring-loadeddiaphragmprovides the force thatgenerates theback-
pressure.Spring tensionmaybeadjustedusing thebackpressureadjustment
screwon the topof the regulator tovary thebackpressurewithout
disconnectingany lines.
Backpressure regulatorsareavailable in two ranges:1-20bar (15-300psi) and
20-103bar (300-1500psi).,and twohousing types: PEEKandCTFE.
